Severing

The cords are cut. I'm beginning to distance myself from the thought of this city, my friends, and my ex. I'm getting ready to step into the blue, the Air Force. i don't know what this has in store for me, but i know for sure that this is the best path for me. Nothing is getting in my way this time; no place, no person, no excuses.

I've already cut my hair and am getting rid of all the 'extra weight'. I just need to talk to my recruiter again, then i'm out of here... and i'm eager for this to happen. i want to leave. I'm tired of dwelling on the past, i'm ready for my future to begin.
